Pyotr's facial expression says oh fuck

"Do you remember seeing the guy we let go when we got ambushed while in the carriage at the bandit camp? I don't think I saw him. Honestly, I don't even remember the cunt's face. But he might! He might remember our faces! And he... might be there. Man, I don't know. But it might be worth thinking about."

Dominic smiles (but you can't see it because his face is obscured).

"It will be my pleasure to infiltrate their camp. Sneakin's what I do best, by the lord! Right next to killing some poor little guys, that is."

Assuming the plan is beginning

Dominic sneaks off, picking his way up along the ridges. He makes his way along the canyon, and quickly leaves your sight. It seems like, though you cannot see him, Stella could still signal to him with Prestidigitation. From the mouth of the canyon, you cannot see signs of life.

At her position, Stella attempts to detect any bandits who may be hiding in the landscape.

clarifying things with revan:
the graphics are dead, jim: hi revan, would mick and pyotr be acting a bit early if they approached the bandits right now or is Dominic like in the middle of sneaking around such that it'd be a good time to begin the "distraction"
Defeatist Elitist: He has snuck off, but the plan was to have you guys go forward while he was off, right?
the graphics are dead, jim: yup, so is it right that he's in position and everything at this point, and things are waiting on us?
Defeatist Elitist: yeah, more or less
the graphics are dead, jim: is good
the graphics are dead, jim: (going)
the graphics are dead, jim: oh I forget, at the front entrance to the camp is there like a gate or sentries posted, or would our dudes just be walking into the middle of a campsite again
the graphics are dead, jim: ?
Defeatist Elitist: you don't see anything near the front
the graphics are dead, jim: ah

In tow with Pyotr, Michelangelo approaches the the area believed to be the bandit camp from the front, though they don't initially see any gate or sentry posted.

Michelangelo is wearing the most diplomatic expression he can muster, advancing serenely while keeping his eyes peeled to read the mood of the first person he sees.

(Alright, looks like we actually just won't be able to get this done on Maptools)

As you advance warily through the canyon, you spot few signs of life. Before long, you come across what appear to be the corpses of several bandits, and beyond that you see the canyon widen. In front of a large, rocky outcropping, you spot several more bodies, and you see two figures lying bound on the ground. You cannot tell if any of these figures are alive or dead from this distance.

(Dominic can see the rest of the party)

Taken aback, Michelangelo dashes a few strides towards the first corpses as soon as he sees them, before his caution regains its hold. He walks the rest of the way to them, taking in the surroundings, and attempts to examine their bodies for any information his medical training can gleam; first, whether they're truly dead, and after that (if applicable) the cause of death, how long they've been dead, and anything else he can glean from their overall condition.

Heal roll, if he gets a chance to use it:
Roll(1d20)+11:
15,+11
Total:26

None too proud of himself, he also surveys their belongings.

If he doesn't see anything that then catches his attention (or get interrupted), he turns toward the bound figures with the intention of doing the same.

Stella notices something is strange. The outcropping doesn't look normal, and she thinks she sees vague figures in the rock. She can sense some source of elemental energy.

This feeling...no doubt about it. They're hiding in the cliffs, and there are wizards in their ranks. "Look out! Looks like we've got company!"

Pyotr feels elemental magic still lingering in the area.

"It's gonna rain fire. Get ready."

He grabs Michelangelo and takes him into cover (if possible).

If possible, before and/or while being dragged by Pyotr, Michelangelo tries to spot and read the mood of the hidden bandits, though he acquiesces to being led to any cover.

insight roll, if he gets a chance to use it:
Roll(1d20)+9:
13,+9
Total:22

(also, assuming they have time to get a word in before any shots are fired:)

From behind cover, he shouts;
"Ho there! I assume we're all on the same page, now, with us giving you a good fright, vice versa and whatnot. Would you good fellows be interested in coming to parley, see if we can't work something out, hm?"

in case it may be relevant, a diplomacy roll:

Roll(1d20)+7:
1,+7
Total:8

Spoiler:
ON THE FRONTIER: Leaving Town - Page 4 Bx0ELXT

Being caught off-guard, Michelangelo's tone sounds at least 200% more condescending than he would've intended.
(again, if he gets a chance to say it)

As you dive for cover, you see the figures literally detach from the walls, one on either side. They are stocky, and vaguely humanoid, but clearly made of stone. A sudden winds springs up, blowing through the canyon, and kicking up several dust clouds. Too late, you realize that the clouds of dust themselves have begun to take a cohesive shape, and one whips into Pyotr (6 damage). Dominic finds himself quickly caught up in another cloud (11 damage, and you're grabbed, which can be escaped with an Acrobatics or Athletics check). The stone figures then charge, one at Pyotr, the other at Dominic, but their clumsy swings are deftly avoided.

ON THE FRONTIER: Leaving Town - Page 4 4erd

Stella is the one on the far left. White things are the dust clouds, W39 and Q32 are the stone things. Pyotr is R33, Michelangelo is right below him.

Initiative is Pyotr, Dominic, Stella, Michelangelo, enemies.

(Assuming you're targeting the cloud thing)

Pyotr emits a gout of flame from his blade, igniting the dry air and engulfing the dust cloud in a blaze  (17 damage, crit and it has Vulnerability 5 to fire, which means it takes 5 extra damage from fire attacks, it's bloodied).  Some of the flame leaps over and strikes its nearby ally (3 damage).

Oh, almost forgot, those dark, black bordered regions are stone pillars and outcroppings that block movement and line of sight. The two other strange regions are Difficult Terrain, and take 2 squares of movement for each square moved through them.
