Stella keeps her right hand on her wand. I wouldn't trust this guy as far as I could throw him...

Re: That night, and Mission Two
As the bandits approach, you can see there are ten of them. The freed bandit approaches the two bandits walking further ahead.
"These people say they're willing to make a deal with us."
"Get out of here," you hear.
"Listen, no," says the bandit, before being cut off.
"I don't want to hear it, get out of here."
The released bandit looks back at Michelangelo, and as he turns to walk away, you can see him hold up four fingers in the light. One of the other bandits steps forward.
"I don't suppose you'd like to stand down and turn over your weapons?"

Pyotr looks Michelangelo in the eye for exactly three seconds. He hopes the message carries through. He looks back at the bandit.
"Don't try my patience."

Re: That night, and Mission Two
Michelangelo smiles back about as ruefully as he ever has, not so much shrugging as submerging his neck beneath the collar of his cloak. I suppose finding two or more Rob Sharps in four bandit encounters was a bit of an audacious hope.
He looks back at Stella and Dominic, and judges that the group is probably in no mood to humor the idea of surrendering to avoid bloodshed. The priest sighs, stows the sunrod back in his pack, and reaches back for his spear.
"Might we at least receive the courtesy of knowing who's asking, friend? I'm sure we'd all be happy to simply avoid having a reason to use them."

"Doesn't sound like you're going to co-operate, huh?"
You see the bandits reaching for their weapons.
Initiative order is:
Michelangelo
Pyotr
Sword (Orange) Bandits
Dominic
Stella
Gun (Green) Bandits
The green bandits look weaker, you figure you can take'em easy (they're minions, so die in 1 damage, but don't take damage on a miss).

Re: That night, and Mission Two
Michelangelo, to his surprise, manages to draw his gun first, and aims for the topmost gunman to his right (Minion 1).
Without waiting for either any visual or aural indication that he hit his target (maybe he was already running and wasn't even looking when he fired or something), Michelangelo makes for cover 5 spaces north (to I-37).
He ponders asking the bandits to reconsider, but he thinks better of it after taking into account:
A) that he just fired a gun at them
B) that they have him pinned
c) that as a result, he probably doesn't look very threatening, and doesn't have much of a negotiating advantage to push
I can wait. We've, probably gotten out of worse? Actually, this might be the worst, but. I can wait.
- I WAS GONNA ASK WHETHER NOT BEING IN THE 15-30 RECOMMENDED RANGE WOULD AFFECT THE ROLL, BUT NOW I DON'T THINK IT WILL MATTER MUCH REALLY:
Attack Roll(1d20)-1:
1,-1
Total: 1
Damage Roll: haha
[16:52] rehab I had a -1 modifier, and rolled a 1
[16:53] rehab the thing should just fucking blow up in my hands
[16:53] necktie that's.
[16:53] necktie impressive.
[16:53] necktie that's literally a 0.
[16:53] necktie wow.
[16:53] necktie it jams, i think
[16:53] necktie it would only be fair
[16:55] Nanaba we're two spaces behind you and necktie, rehab
[16:56] rehab maybe he doesn't account for the recoil and it just snaps back and hits him in the fucking face

Re: That night, and Mission Two
The two sword wielding bandits charge forward through the gap created by Pyotr and Michelangelo. One of them charges ahead to N38, then plows forward into Stella, knocking her a square and dealing 10 damage, as he moves into the square she had previously occupied. The second bandit moves to P38 and attempts to do the same to Dominic. As he charges forward, however, Dominic grabs his sword arm and digs his heels in, pushing the bandit back.
Re: That night, and Mission Two
"Well well, looks like they've got us outnumbered!"
"Looks like...we're just about even, now."
Dominic quickly draws his revolver.
1d20+7 → [3,7] = (10)
And misses like a piece of shit.

Re: That night, and Mission Two
While wrestling with the bandit in front of him, Dominic fires his revolver point blank. The shot flies wide of his opponent.
Re: That night, and Mission Two
Stella winces in pain as her blood splatters across the dry canyon floor. She moves to K35 as quickly as she can and casts Fountain of Flame on both orange bandits.

Re: That night, and Mission Two
As Stella moves past the bandit it lashes out at her, catching her with its sword (10 damage). She turns and blasts both bandits with her fire. They are both bloodied.
The bandits open fire, with a hail of bullets flying towards you. Pyotr's magic deflects several of the bullets, but he still feels the impact of two (8 damage). Two more strike Michelangelo hard on his armor, dealing another 8 damage.

Rattling his gun, Michelangelo realizes it didn't even go off when he pulled the trigger. He grumbles and holsters it, then looks up to see Stella being wounded. Michelangelo winces, then quickly uses Healing Word on her.

Re: That night, and Mission Two
Stella feels the cut in her side healing as Michelangelo turns to the bandits (Stella regains 14 HP). Michelangelo's conjuration strikes at the bandit, but it's swipe is sidestepped.
Pyotr charges past two of the bandits, their attacks striking uselessly at the air behind him. His strike hits home, skewering bandit 4, as flames burst from his weapon. As Bandit 4 falls to the ground, Bandits 3 and 5 succumb to the flames.
Bandit 2 looks pretty fucking scared.

Re: That night, and Mission Two
Sword Bandit 2 swings his sword at Dominic, striking him on the ribs (6 damage), then tosses a dagger at Stella (8 damage). Sword Bandit 1 approaches Michelangelo, delivering a ringing blow with his sword (6 damage), and tossing a dagger in Stella's direction (8 damage). Dominic is marked by Bandit 2, and Michelangelo by Bandit 1.
Stella has really bad luck.

Re: That night, and Mission Two
Dominic jams his gun into the bandits belly and squeezes down on the trigger. The shot rings out a fraction of a second too later, however, as the bandit slides out of the way. He lines up a second shot, but it too flies wide.
Re: That night, and Mission Two
Stella looks on as her fresh blood splatters across the canyon floor once more. Just as the priest heals me, I get two daggers thrown my way...you really aren't giving me a break, huh? She moves to H33 and fires off a Magic Missile at Sword Bandit 1. If I go down...I'll take you with me...!

Re: That night, and Mission Two
Stella's missile strikes the bandit in the chest as she retreats, but he stays standing. Stella slinks away into the shadows.
The bandits in the firing line look bewildered, Pyotr's attack leaving them scattered and killing three of them. One of them, however, looks around, grins, and raises his gun. Pyotr is hit by a barrage of shots from every direction, as all the bandits open fire (3 hits doing 6 damage each). The fact that he didn't instantly die appears to have alarmed them.

Michelangelo's still-ringing head affords his bellowing a heavy vibrato.

Re: That night, and Mission Two
Michelangelo springs into action, intoning a quick prayer (Stella regains 14 HP) before cursing his opponent, driving him back (hit Sword Bandit 1 with both, Stella and Mich also get 5 damage reduction until Mich stops sustaining it).
Pyotr piles in on the remaining bandits, incinerating two of them before dispatching the third with a bolt of lightning.
Sword Bandit 1 stands up, brushing himself off, before charging directly at Michelangelo, delivering a ringing blow to the stunned cleric (13-5 = 8 damage), and pushing him backwards (the bandit also moves into the vacated square). The second bandit takes another swipe at Dominic, and this time his aim is true, slashing straight across the skeleton's chest (13 damage, Dominic is bloodied) [these dice must be loaded or something].
